He was enthralled by Colorado and moved to Aspen. Many people made their way to Colorado after hearing Denver's popular national anthems in his new home. It's hard to think of another performer in the world who is as empathetic to Colorado in the same way as John Denver said G. Brown the curator of the Colorado Music Hall of Fame. Denver was the Hall of Fame's first ever to be a member. Today he personifies the state for people worldwide. When you encounter people from different countries, such as New Zealanders. They ask them "I come from Colorado" and they immediately reply with Oh John Denver. Brown admitted. Denver's first Top 10 hit as a solo artist following a brief period of performing with small folk music groups comprised of Take Me Home Country Roads composed by Bill Danoff. Danoff had originally written the tune to Johnny Cash's tune in head, however Denver knew from the first moment he heard earlier versions that the track was going to be an instant hit. Danoff recorded the track within a couple of days following a performance to crowds that were enthralled on the streets of Washington D.C.
