Winona-Ryder

Winona Laura Horowitz who is professionally known as Winona Ryder was born in Winona Minnesota. Her name was chosen by her parents in honor of the town in which she grew up. Michel Horowitz is her father as well as Cynthia Palmer is her mother. Ryder is a Jew. Ryder believes that her father had a Jewish family. Ryder is the younger sister of Uria who is half-sister to Jubal & Sunyata. Ryder moved with her family to Mendocino County California at the age of seven. In those days, there was no electricity. The books on television were the only way for Ryder for her time, and she began to read extensively. Ryder started to take acting classes at American Conservatory Theatre when she turned 12 years old. At the age of 15, Ryder landed her very first role onscreen, playing Lucas. Ryder was subject to bullying in high school. Ryder hoped that her actions would bring about a change. Sadly, this didn't occur. The actress continued to chase her ambitions. Beetlejuice which was a 1988 Tim Burton film, was her debut big break. Ryder continued to play successful roles in various films. In 1993 Ryder was twice nominated in the Academy Awards. One of them for her role In The Age of Innocence.
