Jillian Noel Shennessy was born on 25th November, 1968 in Canada, is a Canadian performer and actress that was recognized for her significant contributions in American television. Her fame is due to her outstanding performances on the American TV series Law & Order where she captivated audiences for three seasons playing prosecutor Claire Kincaid and Crossing Jordan in which she played protagonist Jordan Cavanaugh for six seasons. Hennessy was also able to showcase her talent in movies like RoboCop 3 Most Wanted, Chutney Popcorn, and The Acting Class. In addition, she wrote and directed these films. Hennessy was first noticed in 1988along with her sister as twin call girls in Dead Ringers. The actress briefly appeared in Buddy The Buddy Holly Story The Buddy Holly Story at Broadway in 1990. In 1993, she made her way out of musicals to enter the science-fiction genre, playing Dr. Marie Lazarus. In the following year, her biggest break was when she joined NBC's hit drama Law & Order to play District Attorney Assistant Claire Kincaid. In these roles, she was awarded a Golden Globe Award in 2006 and an Emmy Award in 2007. Parker received an award in 2001, the Tony Award as Best Actress for the Broadway production Proof.
