Jeanie Marie Buss has been an American entrepreneur for over twenty years. Buss is the founder and the president of the Los Angeles Lakers National Basketball Association. The California native Buss grew up in an upper class family. Jerry Buss was her father. Jerry Buss started out as a realty tycoon, after which he later became the owner of the Lakers. The couple divorced in 1972 which made her feel emotionally neglected. When she was 19 years old, she took over management of the Los Angeles Strings professional Tennis team as General Manager. Then, she established the Los Angeles Blades roller hockey professional team. Before becoming vice president for the Lakers She was also the president of Great Western Forum. Buss was the inheritor of the Lakers by her dad in 2013. Her five siblings were the inheritors through a family trust. She assumed the office of the president of the Los Angeles Lakers. Buss is also partner in the ownership of Women of Wrestling (a Los Angeles-based pro-wrestling association).
